woohoo!! i finally hv internet access in the office. haha. its much faster then the connection available in the hotel. but unfortunately, all email n chatting softwares r banned. sobs sobs. i can't even use the singtel internet sms thingy. *wails*

brief summary of my job here at ocbc shanghai, sze ying n me share a cubicle in the bank reconciliation dept. other than sai kang like filing n photocopying, we get to do pretty cool stuff like balance accs n checking errors. we also got an all-access card hanging around our necks making me feel so bloody impt! whee~

the bosses r really nice n a majority of the top ppl r singaporeans so there was really no prob in communication n guess wat? we got permission to fill up our log books in eng!!!! *happy*

my direct boss for the moment is betty n she is a really nice girl who bought my mom a dictionary when she heard abt her currently on-going language degree course. so sweet rite? plus, today i didn't indulge in my usual starbucks bcoz burger n i promised tiffany to limit our spending.. seriously, u guys shld see the rm burger n i share. its like world war 3 only w/o the blood. =P

today the semester grades came out n i hit an all-time low. kinda disappointed with a couple of subs n with ppl around me all whooping with delight, i felt like i needed my mommy more than ever. n i finally understood why the girls always cry when their parents call them at night. i guess i hv been having too much fun tt i nv really got around to missing the ppl back hm.

tiffany's entire family is coming to shanghai to visit her n they r even gonna stay in motel 168 with us. perhaps, i'll miss mine more when i see them happy tgt. u noe, its something like seeing lovers on vday when u dun hv a date. its definitely not resentment but more of self-pitying which i'm v prone to. heeee.

tonight, the six of us (cheeleng, cairong, sze ying, tiffany, xinyi n me) wun be painting the town red with bimbotic umbrellas le. the past few nights of high life hv kinda sapped us all n we'll be gd homely girls who goes straight hm aft wrk! ahhh, looking forward to my warm bath. such a pity there is no tub. *fantasizes*

another thing, i desperately need a new laptop. mine is so obsolete tt my msn gives screwing up! for me in a faraway land, having no access to the webcam is virtually a death sentence. *groans* oh ya, the orange juice they serve at breakfast is warm. i noe tis sounds random but all the hotels here do it tis way so i guess its the norm. juz like cheap alcohol. beer is cheaper than coke so even the teachers order beer for us at dinner. its kinda like 60 cents SGD for a whole bottle!! i suppose darren will feel so at hm. wahahahaha!!!

yesterday i got new shoes. fire engine red heels! sexaye! lol. hmm, i kinda find tis entry totally full of rubbish ramblings.. tts wat u get when joy joy gets overly bored. =( to save money, sze ying n i became real office workers n packed our own lunch frm the hotel buffet breakfast. so aunty considering an average bento box frm the supermart is 7 yuan or S$1.40. last night, the girlies n i indulged in tis ultra posh looking italian restaurant in the middle of the financial district - near uob kay hian - the bill for 6 of us came up to only RMB 130. my share was a measly S$5 for tuna pasta, grapefruit juice n blueberry cheesecake. ok, lets not be high n mighty juz bcoz s'pore has a strong currency.

but but, i really hv to say tis, single trip bus rides frm one interchange all the way to the other is S$0.40!!! n cab wrks out to only slightly above S$1 each frm town to the hotel abt 20 min away. but i suppose all the money i save here n there i blow it on cute pens n killer heels but tis entire trip has been an experience alright. =)
